Contemporary Family Garden

The brief was for a design for a new, contemporary family garden in Girton, Cambridge. This scheme offers a flexible family space with outdoor kitchen and dining area, a fire pit deck positioned to catch the evening sun, and planting to provide privacy and a sense of enclosure. There’s a practical utility area and still plenty of room left for a large lawn for playing.

Specimen trees and low maintenance, predominantly evergreen, planting soften the hard landscaping, and structural hedging helps to break up the large space. Corten edging keeps everything neat and tidy and ties in with a stunning water table.
