Louisa Gilhooly Supernature Garden

Louisa Gilhooly

Gardener, Designer, and Founder

Louisa believes that beautiful, natural outdoor surroundings are a priority for healthy living. She approaches each new project with both an artistic and pragmatic attitude, coupled with an appreciation of the gardens setting. Understanding the importance of working collaboratively with clients helps Louisa to develop her confident but understated designs that are practical, beautiful, and expressive of the individuality of their owners.

Louisa brings more than a decade of experience designing residential gardens to the SUPERNATURE team. She is an active member of the Speaker Panel for the horticultural charity Perennial, spent many years as a feature writer for Garden Answers Magazine, she has taught garden design at a number of local colleges, and has collaborated on projects with other designers.

Following an Honours Degree in Fine Art Louisa started working life in retail project management. Designing gardens is a second career. As a mature student, Louisa graduated from the KLC School of Design with a first class Diploma, and went on to study Garden Design at Capel Manor College and Landscape Architecture at the Writtle School of Design. She also holds a Level 2 RHS Certificate in Horticulture.
